birdhouse building workshop

I recently learned about a local birdhouse building workshop. It seems like a great activity to take the whole family to. It is scheduled for Feb. 24 at Seabrook Int. school. Three classes are slated at 8:30, 9:30 and 10:30. The Seabrook Tourism Committee is sponsoring this free event to encourage backyard birds in the community. You will build a birdhouse to take home.

It's cool that they have that workshop. By coincidence, yesterday I rebuilt 4 bluebird houses that had fallen on hard times and will put them back up this week. We're about a month away from having them return, but our Chickadees should start nesting in a couple more weeks.

the workshop is a great idea. unfortunately my husband has banned birdhouses!

years ago when the kids were little my grandpa gave them birdhouse kits. They painted them and hung them up. the only residents we had were wasps, which stung my husband in the head!! OUCH!!!
