Going to the library has long been a favorite of my family. I started taking my son when he was still in a stroller. It is a cheap and easy way for families to find entertainment. There are of course tons of books from which to choose. It's fun to share your childhood favorites with your own kids. Reading a book aloud is a great bonding activity for families. Libraries also offer movies and CDs to borrow. Often libraries offer family activities ranging from story time and movies to crafts and karaoke. If your local library is like ours, you will find a huge assortment of children's and teens activities going on every day through the summer. You can participate in reading programs where the kids earn prizes. They may have movie days, craft days, and days celebrating well loved book characters.
